M&M, Spread Eagle Hotel, Thame, Oxfordshire

I love shooting at the Spread Eagle in Thame. Not only it is practically on my doorstep (albeit not as close as the Notleys - Abbey and Barn), it's such a beautiful boutique hotel with a great set up for weddings, both ceremonies and receptions. It has it all - bridal suite, rooms for guests staying over, outdoor space, cute courtyards and an excellent team to transform the space from ceremony to reception to dance floor.

Their day was jam packed, full of fun and memorable moments, all subtly captured on camera in my unobtrusive, documentary style, with a few couple's portraits and group shots thrown in. Despite the town being busy due to the carnival, the day went without a hitch and we even got a free fly-over. The weather did threaten to dampen sprits, but the wedding weather gods were on our side and it was a beautiful afternoon - perfect for utilising the outdoor space for photos.

As you can see from the reactions, the speeches were a highlight, elevated by the groom serenading the bride. Guests were entertained by a close up magician and an awesome DJ who got them all dancing - although I suspect that wasn't going to be a difficult job!
